Sustainability is Our Model
American veal production is a story of complete sustainability. We raise male calves from dairy farms that otherwise would be unvalued and unwanted because they do not grow up to produce milk. We also repurpose excess milk proteins otherwise headed for the landfill.
Hand Raised.
Today’s veal calves are housed in clean, comfortable, well-ventilated, climate-controlled barns with secure flooring and plenty of resting space. Veal is raised according to California Proposition 12 standards.
Family Farms.
Parents and children often work side-by-side on these farms, caring for young animals just as they would their own families.
Sustainably Fed.
Our calves are fed using byproducts of dairy processing. Whey remnants from cheese production are utilized to make highly nutritious milk formulas for veal calves. Otherwise, these ingredients likely would be destined for landfills.
